Nose : Aromas of dark berries (blackcurrant, blackberry) intermingled with hints of garrigue, pepper, leather, and occasionally floral (violet) or animal (underbrush) notes.

Palate : A structured wine with a nice tannic presence but still firm. The palate is fruity, with good freshness—featuring black fruits, spices, and iodine/mineral notes from the Mediterranean terroir. Aging in wood (often 12 to 18 months) adds notes of vanilla, cedar, or tobacco.

Aging Potential : Often 8 to 15 years, depending on the estate, developing over time more tertiary aromas (truffle, undergrowth, leather) and a velvety texture.
