Châteauneuf du Pape - Domaine Henri Bonneau - Cuvée Marie Beurrier

Henri Bonneau came from a family of winegrowers spanning twelve generations. He passed away in 2016 and was one of the most respected winegrowers in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, producing wines of the highest quality with a unique personality. The six-hectare vineyard is planted mainly with Grenache (85%), supplemented by a little Mourvèdre, Counoise, and Vaccarèse, all cultivated naturally. However, Henri Bonneau never considered going organic, as he cultivated his vines as they had been cultivated before the invention of chemistry, using traditional methods: no chemicals, low yields, grapes harvested at peak ripeness, fermentation using indigenous yeasts, and very long aging periods of 4 to 10 years.
